Our young people
We aim to provide a service that is driven by the needs and aspirations of our young people, by incorporating their views, wishes and feelings.
Axion Social Care is an Ofsted-registered service that provides accommodation and support for young people aged 16+ — looked-after children, care leavers, and those at risk of homelessness due to family breakdown or other personal circumstances.
We support young people who are at risk of homelessness due to family breakdowns or other family or personal circumstances. We also cater for the needs of those who may have legal restrictions or who are under the supervision of Youth Offending Services.
Provisions are in place — and we are committed to making the necessary adjustments — to meet the needs of young people with Autism, Epilepsy, Asperger's Syndrome, challenging behaviours or a mental-health condition.
Alongside supported accommodation, we provide outreach with lifeskills, community and homecare support, and socialisation for young people with additional needs living at home — giving respite to parents and carers whose family lives are otherwise under significant pressure.
Our supported-living service strongly promotes — and provides the necessary identified support for — young people to access education, training and employment where applicable, empowering them to develop the essential skills to live independently in the future.
We aim to provide a service that is driven by the needs and aspirations of our young people, by incorporating their views, wishes and feelings.
We are committed to achieving our stated aims and objectives by regularly reviewing our service and welcoming feedback from young people and their representatives.
We provide high-quality care and support by working in a multi-professional environment alongside Local Authorities, social workers, YOS and education providers.
Care is based on a thorough assessment of needs and the systematic, ongoing planning of support — made in conjunction with the young person, their Local Authority and other professionals.
We are committed to providing services that comply with the legal framework and the guidance that informs Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation.
We work closely with social workers, agencies workers, personal advisors and housing, YOS and educational provisions to focus on each young person's individual pathway plan.
Our Salop Street office sits in the heart of Wolverhampton, with placements across the city, the Black Country, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Stafford and surrounding boroughs. A small team that knows the local authority commissioners, the nearest colleges, and which GP surgeries are accepting new young people.
